There are a couple of differences between the two. In terms of cost, watching movies at home is a lot more reasonable than going to the movie theater package itself as tickets on average cost around $15.
Another thing I can think of is that it's more comfortable to be in one's own place long as we don't need to worry about other moviegoers.
I mean, we can yell and shout at the top of our lungs and nobody would complain.
Finally, we can pause or even skip some parts
we don't want or rewind the movie as much as we can and it's totally fine at home.
