Apparently, it's because of the pandemic. Everybody is scared to go out of their houses
so more and more opt to catch a flick in the comfort of their homes as they want to protect themselves from getting infected with covid-19.
What's more, there are tons of streaming platforms and apps ​ that they can subscribe to with minimal fees such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Youtube, etc.
​ ​ ​ ​ In any case, they can enjoy blockbuster movies without having to worry about getting sick.
