It depends on whether we can improve the material use to create these plastic products.
If there is a way to use materials that mimic plastic but will decompose and become part of the Earth in a matter of weeks with little to no effect on the soil, then yes, we should continue using them.
However, we don't have such technology right now, so I think we should limit,
if not completely stopped the use of products made of plastic. I particularly opposed single-use plastic products like straws, drinking cups or food containers because we have plenty of readily available alternatives for those.
