I think the anonymity of the Internet is liberating. In the past,
what you say can and will be used against you at some point.
However, because people can literally be anyone on social media,
they don't feel the pressure of watching their words.
You can see this on every platform: Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and especially on Twitter.
I think if these apps force people to reveal who they are in real life, they would be more careful because they would be accountable for their words. On the other hand, some are using the invisibility cloak provided by the internet
to catch criminals and hold others accountable for their wrongdoing, too. One such account is the vigilante group called anonymous.
