Well, there are many drawbacks when you reveal your opinions online.
One is being identified with a particular group, and it does not matter
if you are part of that group or not, or if you are even interested. Once you post a comment showing you agreed with something they said or did, you are automatically part of that group.
Another is
you open yourself to attack. Sadly, there are many who, under an anonymous account, would pick fights with people.
They would ridicule you, call you names, and would even follow you around and harass you off the internet.
Finally, if you make the mistake of posting a thought online, it will stay there forever.
Nothing is ever gone on the Internet.
Once you post a comment, it can be found and used against you years later.
