Every time I remember our holiday trip to Japan.
We had to walk for almost three hours to find our way back to our small lodgings in saitama Santana, using my phone, as a guide.
It happened in mid-2015, maybe a month after our University graduation.
My two best friends, June and gin gin, decided to join me in Japan for a much-deserved vacation home.
We decided to stay in a cheap postal instead of a hotel.
So So, we could spend more money on food and shopping.
We visited Akihabara to join a cosplay then, but we enjoyed ourselves so much that we lost track of time.
We rushed to the station, but there were no more trains.
And yep.
Weren't able to find a taxi.
So So, we decided to walk.
The problem was, we didn't know the area.
So So, we had to rely on Google Maps, back in and jeans phones were already dead because they took so many photos earlier, without my mobile phone.
We could have gotten into worse trouble.
It was our only Lifeline.
Anyway, it was one of the most tiring and nerve-wracking moments of my life.
Nobody among the three of us.
Spoke any Japanese Japanese, and to make matters worse.
My battery ran out while we were walking, we had to stop at 24-hour convenience stores to charge the phone a few times.
Just imagine our relief when we finally arrived at the wholesale past 3 a.
m.
The front, desk manager was surprised, and our feet off.
Aching from all the walking we did, I'm going to make sure it doesn't happen again.
