I think it's because of the devices that we own. Every single appliance that we own creates its unique sound.
As soon as we enter our homes,
we are greeted with sound. The musical notes from the door lock, or the ring of our phones.
From the rumble of the washing machine, dryer and vacuum cleaner to the alarm of the rice cooker,
all of these are noises that can distract anyone.
Remember in the past, automation did not enter into people's minds.
They used their voices to whisper if someone had arrived or just a regular broom with no sound to clean the house or minimal noise when washing clothes.
It was totally different from what we have now.
