Intermittent fasting is an activity
I have become interested in and have been so committed to doing. The rule
for this is to fast for 16 hours, which means you have zero intakes except for plain water, dark coffee without sugar, or unsweetened tea. Then, feast in the next eight hours.
This “feast” literally means you can eat anything you want.
I first learned about this sort of thing as it became trendy online.
One day, more than two years ago,
I was just browsing Instagram and there was a social media ad, showing a 5-second video clip of intermittent fasting. Out of curiosity,
I clicked the advertisement and was redirected to their website where I got to read a bit of its information.
The article listed a number of its beneficial impacts.
One of them is losing weight and fat, and gaining lean muscle, and, the most intriguing part, lowering the risk for some diseases
such as diabetes, stroke and many more.
My attention was drawn to it right away
if it was the answer to my prayers of staying in good shape without energy and time demanding physical exercises. During those days, was suffering from overwhelming stress, due to my fully loaded schedule every single day. Therefore, when I got back home,
I had an utterly exhausted body and mind, not ready for any sort of home training or even light exercises.
I would rather lie in bed, do a movie marathon, and satisfy my
cravings for food. Not to mention,
I found this article just before covid-19 broke the social lives of people around the globe.
There were strict protocol regarding social distancing and wearing of protective equipment, which made it harder to work out outside our homes.
That's why after doing research on intermittent fasting,
I tried it without a second thought. In the first few days, I suffered from hunger, fatigue and headaches.
So I wanted to give up, but I did not. Thanks to my determination,
I have been doing this intermittent fasting to maintain my fitness for more than two years now.
