In my opinion, people rent first and then, if they can, they save enough money to purchase their own homes.
These days real estate prices are too exorbitant for ordinary citizens and it is sometimes impossible to own an apartment, especially in the city.
Some of them even a rent for their entire lives. But there are still those lucky few who can invest in a house as they found one within their budget.
