There are some pros and cons of staying in the same residence for a long time.
One disadvantage is it could become boring as you've only lived in one house,
one neighborhood for your entire life.
You might also become too comfortable where you are and miss some opportunities that would require you to move.
On the other hand,
you might also gain more
if you just stay where you are.
You are in your safe, comfort zone. Who would want to move out of that?
Also, moving can be quite expensive.
You have to figure out where to move, plan how to transfer your stuff,
negotiate lease terms, and so much more.
