I believe that many parents in this country consider it an advantage if their children know how to play a musical instrument, especially piano and the violin. Many are willing to spend a considerable amount of money on high-quality instruments and good instructors.
However, to say that they require it is too much.
I think that modern Korean parents know that forcing children into anything is not the best way for them to learn or be happy.
