It is quite common for applicants to think about the salary first and foremost when choosing work.
However, a high salary can only keep a person satisfied for a short time since it is only human nature to want more. Most employees who stay in their jobs have other priorities such as a good working environment, a management team that listens, plus friendly and professional colleagues.
I also read somewhere that the greatest determiner of job satisfaction is when a person feels that his work contributes positively to society.
