I remember meeting my auntie Jiyoon when I was in elementary school.
It was the first time I had a real conversation with her because she has been working in New York as a nurse since she graduated.
I was only a small child when she left Korea to pursue her dreams abroad. Auntie went home to Korea for a holiday after more than a decade overseas. The whole family went to Haeundae Beach to go swimming and go sightseeing.
This place was famous because of the Busan International Film Festival.
Anyway, our heartfelt talk happened one night when we were strolling down the beach.
She invited me to walk with her.
We started catching up with each other and making up for lost time.
She told me about her life in the Big Apple and asked me about my dreams for the future.
Actually,
I didn't have any plans yet, so I wasn't able to tell her anything important.

I am now a professional medical practitioner.
I want to follow in her footsteps and expand my horizons to other countries.
