I believe that the answer to this is both. Individuals today can always find conversations to join because of the internet and smartphones.
They can comment on any of the billions of web pages and chat rooms online.
However, the quality of the conversations has declined. The way we talk now is superficial and lacks heart.
We don't talk anymore;
