I'd like to share with you the occasion when I was forced to queue up for more than half a day.
I remembered correctly
it was when I had to secure my driver's license in America.
This was like two years before COVID-19 hit us hard and I had to take up a short course at a local university. Going to the DMV in another county of Kentucky was a huge hassle for me. For one,
I had to change buses five times, which was an hour-and-a-half total to get there,
so this means I left home around a few minutes past 6. To my surprise,
there were a lot of people flocking around the office all already. To be honest,
I never intended to secure a driver's license at all because DMV is Infamous for having a scrupulous and time-consuming process
and I also hated driving myself around.
However, I was forced or urged by my aunt because she barely had time to drop me at my University and I had to travel to another county.
My University was in Louisville and I lived in Frankfurt, which was more than half an hour drive.
I could not express into words my frustration and regret just to obtain that small ID card that is just resting in my wallet all the time.
This was the longest line
I had ever tried in my thirty years of existence on this planet, which made me blow a gasket.
My patience was wearing thin when I saw how slow the officer-in-charge was.
It reminded me of the sloth in the 2016 Disney movie entitled Zootopia.
I wished I could scream at that fat guy to hurry up after 6 and 1/2 hours of being there
I was able to finish, and never again would I put myself into that situation. In the first place, I should have trusted my reservations.
