In terms of the priorities of people in the old times,
our ancestors were keen on upholding family values and respect for the elderly. Anyone that would speak out or contradict
the elders was deemed rude or impolite and could disgrace their generation.
Sometimes, they were pegged as the black sheep of the family.
However, at present, things have changed in 360 degrees. Self-preservation or individualism is the guiding force for the new generation.
People are more open to speaking out and not having to base the things they do with just a mere tradition in the past.
Thus, it widened a generation gap between Baby Boomers and Millenials.
