The words too much sure enough lead to negative implications only with parents always interfering with their children's lives too much.
They are not only spoiling them but they are not making them complete parasites who will always rely on them the best parenting method according to experts as for parents to allow their child some degree of freedom in small aspects of their life for instance parents might prefer to have their child do his homework first before anything else but the child might want it the other way around by allowing them to do things in their own style.
As long as they do what they promised I think parents shouldn't have any problems.
