This is interesting because old friends are important for everyone.
They are people that you share common experiences with and have a deep connection with you.
If I have to choose I'd say, oh friends are more important to older people.
It's harder for them to find new friends and their circle is slowly getting smaller as time passes by younger people on the other hand still have a lot of time ahead of them to make new friends.
