I did a little research on this question because I don't know a lot of altruists from Korea.
I was surprised to find Lee ji Hoon on the list.
She is more popularly known as long you and she is a multi-awarded singer-and-actress her more well-known work in philanthropy is being an ambassador for Korea's anti-bullying campaign in schools for the deaf.
She was given an honorary title of a senior police officer.
However, there is more to her than meets the eye I found out that she has donated a lot of money to various charitable causes such as covid-19 relief charities for underprivileged children relief efforts for the victims of the gangwon forest fire.
She even has a Scholarship Foundation that provides financial aid to college students from needy families.
