I'm going to describe my first time speaking Japanese using only acquired Knowledge from watching Japanese animation commonly known as manga this happened last summer when my sister and I decided to go backpacking in Japan.
We were trying to explore picturesque natural sceneries.
Originally the plan was to go on this trip of a lifetime with my sister's jetsetter fiance.
However, he had to bail out at the last minute mainly because of his job.
We were looking forward to having him on our vacation because Japanese was his second language pants when my sister and I arrived there we started having ants in our pants because all the texts were in kanji Japanese writing using Chinese characters were very first issue was how to explain to the taxi driver the location of our destination and further instructions of asking him to wait on us this situation reminded me of a scene from home.
Favorite animation where the main character asked his friend to wait on him outside his hotel.
I tried replaying the phrase and sentences on my mind along with the basic greetings month for what it's worth.
I was successful in sending the message across to the patient driver, even though a noticeable effort was palpable each time.
I spoke to him in basic nihongo.
I was even proud of myself to muster all that confidence in me that I had no knowledge of without any technological help come to think of it.
I am not the type to speak to strangers casually as this is not how we do in my country.
I don't mean to sound arrogant, but I guess I can go on a solo tour on the remote outskirts of Japan most importantly it dawned on me that I am inadvertently extroverted.
