I could not agree less parents in this modern civilization lack authority to the extent that their kids could overpower them, especially when they want to have their way being defined not into any Authority as a popular trend for young ones these days as parents or legal Guardians tend to be lenient in their parenting punishments and sanctions are thrown out from the table in most homes.
Probably because parents are too oblivious of their offspring's behavior or too scared to have social services meddling with the the thus there is a significant rise in juvenile crimes reported annually.
