I'm pretty sure that if children are to choose between the rhythm of songs or poems.
They choose the rhythm of songs.
This is exactly the reason why most of the song compositions nowadays with less powerful lyrics than what poems have my impression is that young Generations today focus on the beat of the songs and not the contents of it, which is the only thing we normally appreciate in poems for example children prefer playing edms instead of reading poetry books nowadays.
