One of the worst noises that I've ever heard came from a falling tree during last year's typhoon Ling Ling.
It was a very old tree in our neighbor's yard that split and toppled because of the powerful winds.
It is forever imprinted in my mind because of the horrible noise it made it sounded like very loud thunder when it initially cracked then it was like a man grown his death as a tree slowly fell to the ground.
I was at home when this happened because classes were suspended due to inclement weather.
I remember playing a video game when the 9th exploded.
I stopped playing and we all rushed to the window to see what was happening.
I felt scared because the noise was so sudden and we thought that other trees or buildings might break and cause damage to property or people.
