I might be a thrill-seeker,
but the first moment I had durian ice cream for dessert was something I could never take. Durian is globally known as the world's smelliest fruit,
so I had my reservations from the very beginning. The comforting and appealing idea was that it is in ice cream form,
so I thought the undesired features would be less detectable. If my memory serves me
well, I had it when I was touring in Cebu City during my English summer camp a decade ago. Since I had little to no experience in life outside my nation,
I was aiming to try as many exotic local foods out out-of-this-world activities as possible.
This sprawling metropolis was internationally known as the melting pot of cultures and cuisines. On one of our stops at the whale shark watching spot, the tour guide suggested cooling off our heads with a refreshing array of fruit juices, shakes and ice cream after a hearty lunch.
